lunch with mimi and pop-pop

a few days later, Warren got to spend the night with his Mimi and Pop Pop (Ben's parents) at their home in Water Valley. they were glad to get the chance to see their grandson, their grandson was beyond excited about getting to see them, and i got to go to cooking club without having to worry about procuring a babysitter! i must admit...it was rather nice to wake up on my own the next morning, not to the cries of "mama. Mama! Maaammmmaaaa!! come get me!!!!". the child is perfectly capable of getting out of bed on his own, but refuses to...guess i should be thankful he's not climbing out to terrorize the neighborhood while i'm blissfully asleep!

anyhoo, back to the post. when i went to pick warren up the next day (and let me note, he was NONE too happy to see me. clung to his mimi and pop pop, and did NOT want to go back home with me!), we ended up at Ajax for lunch. now, Warren is doing much better with his restaurant etiquette these days, but it was around 1pm, so it took all of Mimi and Pop Pop's energy to keep that child put!



but it was fun, all and all, regardless of warren's continuous efforts to crawl under the table or over the back of the booth! and it was so good to visit with Fred and Linda (aka, Mimi and Pop Pop) and Lena (aka Aunt Lena).

as i was loading up the car to take warren back home (and i repeat, he had NO interest in coming with me), warren discovered this umbrella in the back of Fred and Linda's car. there was a much cuter shot just before this, but of course, my camera was in the bottom of my purse.



so, to the cries of warren from the backseat of "mimi, come with me. come with us!!" and the smiles and waves of his adoring grandparents and aunt, wee man and i headed back home to Tupelo for more adventures.
