for being a good boy...

wee man and i had to pick up supplies for his upcoming birthday party the other day. i always am a bit leery of letting him walk into a store (especially a toy store) only holding my hand, but he's getting a bit too big for the carts nowadays. plus he doesn't much care to ride, requesting before we even get INTO the store "no cart. no cart; i hold your hand, mommy." sigh.

so, holding hands, and with dire warnings of having to go back and be put into a cart if he let go of my hand, we set off into Toys R Us.

and (gasp) he was incredible! only tugged at me twice during the whole hour we were there (don't ask...long story)! i was so proud of him for behaving and doing exactly as he was told, that i decided to reward him at the checkout counter...

with this!





this is quite possibly the largest (or at least tallest) lollipop i've encountered so far. sure i've seen the gigantic round rainbow swirly ones, but this one? with gummy bugs and icing! it was awesome.

and now, three days later, the child is STILL eating away at it.
