i have gratitude for the little things...
as in, at this morning's sounding of my alarm (at what I refer to as a God-forsaken hour), i swiftly clicked on my email in an effort to stay awake, and actually get up (yes, my alarm is on my phone). and the title to the first email in my queue? "Stay Awake With Jesus". my daily devotional.
now, don't get any lofty ideas - i was not being exceptionally devout, or prayerfully considering the suffering that Jesus went through on our behalf (although it did focus on just that, and it is a topic worth pondering!) - I just saw the title and said "Oh. maybe this hour isn't quite so God-forsaken as i thought!".
...and promptly got out of bed to retrieve my first cup of coffee. and i've almost finished another chapter in my manual! yea! thank you, God, for the not so subliminal hint!
