just in case...

here's the recipe, if you're of a mind to start a new addiction...if i had any left, i'd take a picture, just to tempt you some more! as it is, ...i ate them all already! now, she just sent me home with 2, in case you're really starting to worry about me...

2 egg whites
dash salt
1/2 cup sugar (or equivalent of splenda)
flavor of choice (vanilla, almond, lemon, etc)

sweetened cream:
1 carton (small) heavy cream
1t vanilla or almond (or both!)flavoring
1 packet Splenda, or 2T+ sugar

beat egg whites and dash of salt together until stiff. gradually add MOST of the 1/2 cup sugar with mixer, saving about and 1/8 cup. fold in 1/4t flavor with the remaining sugar into egg white mixture.

spray cookie sheet with cooking spray, then line with parchment paper. spoon mixture on, making six mounds. make a slight depression in the middle of each mound. bake at 275F for 45 minutes. remove from pan immediately.

put on plate, bowl, or whatever you so please...spoon an ample amount of fresh sliced, diced or otherwise cut-up strawberries (no need to add sugar here - i promise! leave 'em alone!). then spoon on sweetened whipping cream.

note: if you're cutting corners, time-wise and calorie-wise, go for the can of Redi-whip. BUT...if you really want a treat, and can afford the extra caloric load, top with a generous mound of that whipped, sweetened, decadent heavy cream.

and oh yeah...any ol' berry will do. even kiwi would be tasty!
