a few more from december...

well, i may not have been very focused on recording december, but thank goodness, linda was! got some good shots from my mother in law's camera, so here's a few more for the archives.

this is the warren's first gingerbread house. i think he did GREAT!! his mimi (that's linda) started the tradition with him this year, and i applaud their efforts. it was just the right size, and most of all, warren had a lot of fun.
and this is my first attempt at the eakes' family caramel cake. it's fred's mother's recipe, and is absolutely divine...but you kind of have to hold your breath and lean just the right way for it to work...so my niece, august, wanted to supervise my efforts - just in case!
it turned out very yummy, by the way. no picture, but that's okay...have some work to do on getting the icing spread correctly! but the flavor was spot on!
