Ben, Warren and I joined my mom and dad in West Point on Christmas Eve Eve. Christmas Eve we opened a few of our little presents to each other, considering the rest of the family wouldn't be joining us until Christmas Day and the day after. Warren rather enjoyed having his grandparents' attention all to himself, I believe!
"Has Santa been?" Warren is the tiny little head peeking out there, hoping he can come down and see if Santa came to visit him!
and oh boy! did he ever!! What a morning!!
the bike, the additions to his train set and the scooby-doo gifts were awesome, mind you, but playing "finger-monster" war with daddy took the cake! roar!!!
And then, hooray! the arrival of cousins!!! grandparents are wonderful, but they're nowhere near as fun as a Richard or a Samantha!
speaking of, here they are - Samantha, overjoyed at a present...
a quintessential Richard moment -
Warren's beloved Aunt Mara -
my favorite picture of Kiki (my mom)...something about it I will treasure forever. SO filled with laughter and happiness!! love it!
a grin from Bunky -
and a general shot of the mayhem, taken by my husband (hence the back of my head...hey, at least i'm IN a picture, right?)...
and the Christmas Day dinner. hard to beat my mother's marinated Beef Tenderloin, Spinach Madeleine, Mashed Potato Casserole and a Salad!
(not to mention children old enough to sit still and enjoy the meal!)
Merry Christmas, 2011.
Glad you are "back." Enjoyed the post!
