we decided before Christmas that we missed Florida. not to live there, mind you, but we to visit. So Ben booked us a post-Christmas/New Year's family vacation in the same resort we used to live in. We tried to get back in our original unit, just for old times' sake, but ended up with a unit on the 18th floor instead of the 11th...the views were even better!

in a strange way, it was just like coming home again. something to be said for the familiar, i suppose. and the fact that we knew we had a specific departure date! the GREAT part about it (that was VERY different!) was that all three of us got to spend the entire time together. HOORAY!
while we did lots of things (to be covered in other posts) the first thing we did on our family vacation was play golf. well, daddy played golf, warren rode in the cart and offered highly construction shot critiques, and i practiced taking pictures with my new camera. lots of pictures. LOTS!
mid-way through the course, Warren decided he wanted to play with my old camera.
i'll admit, i was having a great time, so of course he wanted to get in on the action! he took some surprisingly good shots too! it was kind of nifty to see things through his eyes...while not altogether flattering, i'll admit!
and not to be left out, even daddy snapped a shot of his budding photographers.
