missed us?

well, we've missed you too!

the great news is that we've been so caught up with living we just haven't had much time for photo opps and record keeping. the bad news is...it's been a wonderful year, and i have little record of it!!!

here are the highlights:

We've spent a lot of time on the job site visiting daddy...due to his 7 day a week work schedule, some days it's the only way to get some face time!!

and come on...what little (or big!) boy doesn't love equipment??

here's a view of the highway 9 project from above...see if you can pick out Endville Road!

We also spent a lot of time on Mr. Will's farm (Native Son Farm, run by Will and Amanda Reed):

we sadly had a bit of a casualty one day at the farm stand. running, tripping and a very hard concrete floor are not things that mix well with wee man's noggin! however, after a few tears, he was up and going again, apparently none the worse for wear!

ah...here's the new (old) tractor. Will has great plans to turn it into a solar powered tool...it's kind of exciting to see what will happen!

..."reading" books (mommy usually helps, but i found him this way one morning after breakfast!)

...lining up our equipment on the "at home" job site:

...mourning the loss of one of our scrapers. darn faulty equipment!!

...deciding whether or not to jump into our icy cold pool:

...enjoying ourselves at Tutti Frutti:

...fun at the dentist (maybe we spent too much time at Tutti Frutti...oops!):

...first day of school at First Presbyterian:

...Warren's fourth birthday party:
first there was the School Party...

...and then the actual Party at Jump!

...how awesome was the Percy birthday cake Mrs. Kelli Phipps made us?

...awww, look. it's your friendly neighborhood Spiderman! loved this year's costume for Halloween:

...our packed bag for staying with Mimi and Pop Pop while Mommy and Daddy went on vacation (hooray Oregon!)

...making "harry pooter" cookies (don't ask...but the giggles were worth it!!) with Mrs. Amanda, Mrs. Kim and Lucy:

...helping mommy rake the front yard (this was a frequent activity thanks to our lovely pine trees):

...trying on our preschool Thanksgiving project:

oh! and we can't forget the arrival of "Scratch"! a few days before we left for my mom's house for Thanksgiving, Ben brought home a stray. we put up signs and pictures in the area where he came from (near the job site), but as no one claimed him, we are now the (proud? dubious? slightly insane?) owners of this beagle-mix mutt.

I will say he has made Evie (the other heathen dog we claim) quite well behaved. At the very least they chew on each other now instead of on us! sigh. and Warren still claims we need one more dog, as he has one more name ("Hoover"). think i'm going to wait a while on that third...

ahhh. finally. the arrival of cold weather. happy, happy mommy!! and a pretty happy Warren too!

...it was also the arrival of our Elf on the Shelf! this was our first official year to participate in the tradition, and Warren (without hesitation, might i add) cheerfully and confidently named him "Pre-kin". as in, rhymes with deacon. hmmm. it was great fun though...Warren woke up each and EVERY morning saying "Good morning, mommy...we need to go find Prekin!!"

time to decorate the house...

and the tree...

and the cookies!...

we still prefer playing in boxes as to wrapping them...

and thank heavens, he's not too old to sit on Santa's lap yet!

and then it was Christmas!

so that's our "catch up"...see you soon!
