what we've been up to...

our friends and neighbors opened a new business venture called "jump" earlier this year...filled with bouncy houses, it's an amazing place! so we've been jumping...



and crashing :)

i mean, the child could be sleeping in this:



but for some reason he begs me to make up his "pallet-carpet" every time we visit! he will only sleep on the floor at Kiki and Bunky's!

you can't really see it from the picture, but my left hand was all sorts of swollen from some mutant bug bite. luckily it faded within 36 hours...but i was actually worried enough to have "dr. amy" take a look at it for me!!

back at Kiki and Bunky's house for Mother's Day...playing (on Mother's Day morning!!) in the pool with cousins Samantha and Richard:

and the glamour queen...i mean, come on. who wears sunglasses with their bathrobe?? gotta love my mama...



the wee ones (or not so wee ones, now that you mention it) all dressed and ready for brunch at the club...

but Kiki "forgot" to wear her shoes on the walk home, so i guess it's okay for dubs to go belt-less!!



helping Pop Pop out on the farm...because of course, Pop Pop needed Warren's help driving his blue tractor-cow!



and back at Waverly, having dinner with Kiki out on the patio. Ben and Tom were both out of town on business trips, so we girls (and wee man) joined forces for an evening!



aahhh...a post Sunday lunch nap in the recliner with Daddy...



and a post-aberdeen lunch with Daddy nap in the car...



and yet another nap...i think this was post Easter lunch?? i'm sensing a pattern here...something about Eakes men and eating...and sleeping...



oops. sorry guys. did i say sleeping??



spending time at the end of school party with our very first school-teachers, Mrs. Kim Burleson and Mrs. Paige Lancaster - wonderful teachers of the First Presbyterian Monday and Wednesday 2's!!



uummm...sleeping. again??



oh wait . this is playing. first thing in the morning, drawing chalk pictures of pancakes...a not so subtle hint to mom to get cracking in the kitchen!!!



...and....yep. more sleep. must be something about that recliner.



and our first backyard cookout with friends since our return from Florida.





it's been busy!! and we're having a wonderful year :)
