the weeds are sprouting in the front...
the weeds have taken OVER the back...
my roses are practically drowning (or being eaten alive) by clover...
and clearing this pitiful little patch took me almost an hour. sheesh. it's a huge bed too.
but there are some bright spots in my landscaping (aside from the fact that i'm so thrilled to actually HAVE a landscape to fuss about again!), such as these delightful snowbells! one of my neighbors shared some of her bulbs with me last year, and against all odds (i almost waited too long to plant them) they welcomed us home with their bright, delicate blooms. i love them!
and my daffodils came back...
and apparently warren enjoys being out of doors as much as i do! of course, the prospect of continually filling a watering can from the spout and creating his own muddy puddles had something to do with that...
ah, the joys of gardening.
now if i can just teach him how to use a stirrup-hoe!
