weekend at the lake...

this past weekend the eakes family headed to pickwick with my mom and tom. the weather was perfect saturday!! we took a drive down the channel from yellow creek to bay springs lake, and even got out and swam a bit after our picnic lunch. after deciding he was okay with his life jacket (NOT a happy camper when it first went on!!), warren took to the experience wholeheartedly! here's the little man, driving the boat with his bunky...(and yes...we did have a fair bit of swerving going on for a little while!) he even hit the emergency turn off key once! oh well - at least we know it works!asleep in kiki's lap...

hanging with the "boys" later that evening on the deck. what a peaceful view! i have to tell you, it wasn't really quite as peaceful and calm as it looked that evening, but oh well...can't win them all, can you? little man was going on about 6 hours of sleep, so i'm surprised he even made it to dinner! make it he did, (and us too...barely!), and we're all looking forward to the next trip to pickwick...
