and "peep! peep!" is exactly what warren cried, running through the halls of the gym!!
halloween this year was supposed to be the first year that warren really understood the concept of dressing up, and going door to door. but we currently live in a condo, and have very few neighbors (permanent ones, at any rate). thus the idea of going trick-or-treating changes a bit.
but (thank heavens) my gym has the most amazing childcare center, called "the clubhouse". warren loves his caretakers...mrs. bolynn, miss hayley, miss rachael, miss ali, and miss jasmine...and they hosted a costume party for the children yesterday, complete with treats and everything! warren not only got to come home with a goody bag, he got to dress up, see other children dressed up, and made a black bat with cut-outs of his handprints (straight to scrapbook, that one!). it made me very grateful that warren got to have a wonderful halloween experience anyway!
here's mr. percy, in full swing!
oh...the thing in his hand, that he's gazing so lovingly at? a donut from Krispy Kreme...they don't have Shipley's down here yet (shame on them!!), so we've had to settle, but Krispy Kreme did have the cutest pumpkin donut, and i just couldn't resist buying the child one. he loved it!
okay, okay, so i picked myself up a plain glazed one as well...and paid for it by an after lunch blood sugar count of 135, too! but no worries! down to 108 the next morning!!
i just HAD to take him by daddy's office so i could get the above shot, too. of course, warren put up no complaints! he loves going there! all the ladies give him LOTS of attention, and today, he got LOTS of candy! as if he hadn't had enough already with the cookie at the gym, the goodie bag he all but devoured in the car on the way to daddy's office...PLUS the pumpkin donut!...and then his daddy gives him a chocolate bar! when i commented on it, ben cleverly stated that "if you're going to dress him up for halloween, the least you can expect is for him to be filled with candy!!". sigh.
we still haven't decided if we're going to let him dress up again tomorrow and go door to door with us in one of ben's co-worker's neighborhood, so there may yet be more 'halloween-ing"...but for now, this is where we stand.
not bad, for an away-from-home experience!
