TCPS had it's Up Up and Away festival the other weekend, and we decided to go check it out, and cheer on our friends as they participated in the race. we started out as we start out practically every day at the park...in the swings!
the swinging is much more fun when daddy's there to push, obviously! next we tripped on down the lane to investigate the sleeping ducks.
uh-oh. woke the ugly one up.
oh boy. now they're all awake!
daddy, can i feed them? please? please? i'm sure they like teddy grahams as much as i do!
okay, son, but only from behind the bars. i don't like the look of that ugly one!
mission accomplished!
then we found a good place to cheer from - this was misty's first pass. and believe me, she was booking it. i think she was in 8th place overall here (by FAR the first female!), and eventually ended up 3rd or 4th overall? you go girl!

ben headed out to catch a flight in memphis for a business meeting after that, leaving warren and i to our own devices for a few days. i was kind of blue about it, and didn't want warren to know. so...what's my answer to keep us busy and happy? an ice cream treat, of course!!!
and then, since we knew daddy was going to be playing a little golf (business golf, of course...ha ha) we set up our very own golf course. it was no contest - warren beat me hands down!
and as no day is complete without a pre-bedtime romp in the circus tent, that's precisely what we did.
all in all, it was a good day.
