Singing...(or not)

Lawndale has a really neat Christmas Program in which all the children in the church participate...even the 2 year old class! Warren and I sang "Away in a Manger" and "Angels We Have Heard on High" every time we got in the car, and many times in between. He still asks for mama to sing "manger" and "angels" occasionally...good times!

However, while he got the songs down, Warren was none to keen on standing up in the front of the church at practice. He got up there (grey sweatshirt, front row in the middle) and did fine for a second...
and then he looked back at the overwhelming crowd...
and promptly burst into tears, crying "Mama!!!"

needless to say, he watched that practice. When it came time for the real deal though, Warren actually cooperated! I couldn't believe it - had even instructed grandparents not to bother coming, as Warren would probably just be sitting with us in the pew. Wrong! That's him (that little bitty speck) in his white sweater holding on to Mrs. Esther's hand. He stayed up there, clapped his hands, danced his arm-pumping dance (his signature move) and even supplied a supportive "That's Great!" exclamation after every song. I'm told Candace has great video footage, so hoping to bum a copy from her. I'll know for next year to sit closer to photo taking range! Although on second thought, we might have a repeat of those practice session tears if he can see me!
